ROMANIAN AIRCLUB
In 1920, on the initiative of Prince George Valentin Bibescu, the Royal Airclub of Romania was founded and became a legal entity on 13 April 1923.
At present, after more than 100 years of uninterrupted activity, the Romanian Airclub brings together over 200 aircraft operating in 17 locations across the country.
Having as a primary object to help those who want to discover the secrets of flying or even pursue a career in one of the most extended and successful fields, our flight school has currently trained more than 3000 students. The best of them make up the national teams, representing the country in competitions all over the world.
Deva Airfield
“Constantin Manolache“
The airfield is located near the city of Deva, in an open area well-suited for light aviation operations. Its position, just a short distance from the city center and away from urban congestion, makes it an ideal location for safe and efficient aeronautical activities.
Characterized by a beautiful landscape, the airfield serves as an important hub for general aviation, recreational flights, and pilot training. Activities carried out here include flight instruction, parachuting, and various aerial sports operations, all conducted in accordance with modern safety standards.
As part of the Romanian Aeroclub network, the airfield plays a key role in training and promoting a passion for aviation, contributing to the development of civil and sports aviation in the region.

Following its operational development, Deva Airfield offers a range of essential facilities for general aviation:

- 1 runway in operation
- 2 taxiways (A–B)

- Radio frequency: 135.190 MHz

The airfield supports a variety of aviation activities including training, recreational flying, and aerial sports.
